At Sunrise and Sunset, Tides Rise and Fall
Tides are natural phenomena triggered by cosmic primordial forces. The gravity between the Earth, the Moon and the Sun act together on the sea, causing it to appear as periodic high and low tides. The tidal waves make the orbits of the stars, which are far beyond human understanding, and even the existence of these primordial forces, visible and sensible. Here, we propose the phrase "the tide repeats itself" as a metaphor for this enigmatic, recurring energy.
In the process of art creation, the artist is also inspired and driven by the inexplicable force of the origin, and the body and consciousness are like fluids, constantly shifting and evolving; out of the chaotic dynamics, creative and liberating energies are stimulated, making the invisible force of the origin perceptible and visible. We therefore believe that art is not a fixed, isolated object, but a microscopic spectrum of inscribed energetic fluxes.
From ancient fishing and hunting to oceanic exploration, from allegory in folk art to philosophical reflection in contemporary art, this exhibition presents a rich and comprehensive art ecology, and invites artists from different generations to show the trajectory of their thoughts and the subjects they have touched through their works. They encounter, interact and resonate in the space, presenting a wide variety of art forms and bringing new life experiences and ways of thinking to the audience.
