AN EXHIBITION ABOUT EXHIBITION
If there were no constraints of resources and budget, what kind of exhibition would you plan? Something that allows your mind to run while?
QI MU SPACE is to launch in 2020 a project called “Free Rein Project” to invited curators to share their most creative and original exhibition proposals. With no limitations on art medium, time and space, budget, or even feasibility, they can reduce as much as possible practical interference with thinking and imagination and focus only on their perfect “fantasy”.
How much freedom can an exhibition have in planning if there is no need for real-world conditions?
There is more to the exhibition “Free Rein” than a work of art: it is expected to reveal the power of idea and imagination, as well as the wildest dream in contemporary art.
QI MU SPACE will assist the participating curators in turning the proposals into videos or image-texts, compile them into an album, and publish it online or in paper form at the end of the year.
Participating curators and cooperating media will be forthcoming with the project .
